Eleanor joined the committee in 2017 as a student and completed the LPC in July 2018. She is currently did a 6 month placement in Local Government, gaining experience in Litigation and Conveyancing work. She is also involved in the LegalTech world and advocates for more women to get involved. Whilst studying the LPC at the University of Law, Eleanor co-founded the ‘Women’s Network’ because she believed it empowering the female students. The society aimed to promote gender equality, and now has a new President in its second year (@ULWomensNetwork). Eleanor hosted networking and panel Q&A discussions which have explored topics from gender disparity in the upper echelons of the legal profession, to alternate career paths with a law degree. Speakers at the events included Christina Blacklaws, President of the Law Society and Dana Denis-Smith, Founder and CEO of Obelisk Support and Founder of the 100YearsProject.
