Eleanor joined the committee in 2017 as a student and completed the LPC in July 2018. She is currently working in Local Government on a Legal Graduate Summer placement, gaining experience in Litigation and Conveyancing work. She is also involved in the LegalTech world and advocates for more women to get involved. Whilst studying the LPC at the University of Law, Eleanor believed in supporting the female students and co-founded the ‘Women’s Network’ which aims to promote gender equality (@ULWomensNetwork). The society hosted networking and panel Q&A discussions for the students which have explored topics from gender disparity in the upper echelons of the legal profession, to alternate career paths with a law degree. Their end of summer event saw speakers such as Christina Blacklaws, President of the Law Society and Dana Denis-Smith, Founder and CEO of Obelisk Support and Founder of the 100YearsProject.
Eleanor is applying to secure a training contract in commercial litigation and tech law.
