Join us at Faberge’s store in Mayfair for a cocktail party and a talk on the history of Faberge by Archduke Dr Geza von Habsburg who was Chairman of Christie’s, Europe for 18 years and has taught at the New York School of Design, at the Bard Graduate Center for the Decorative Art and at New York University. He also lectured for 10 years at the Metropolitan Museum of Art about the History of Collecting and has published 14 books/ catalogues on Collecting, Russian Art and Fabergé, and organized five international exhibitions attracting over 2 million visitors. He holds a number of prominent positions including the Fabergé Guest Curator at the Virginia Museum of Art and of the Hermitage Museum Foundation, USA. He speaks seven languages and is the grand-son of the last king of Saxony and the great-great-grandson of Emperor Franz-Joseph of Austria. The store will be open for shopping for those who wish to do so.
