#legallyhers – Madeleine Heggs appears in First 100 Years video
Many thanks to Anthony Gold hosting our event with the Transparency Project. We are very excited to learn about their new Legal blogging initiative –
From 1 October a new ‘legal blogging’ pilot will commence, which will see lawyers granted access to attend private family hearings on the same basis as journalists, where they are not involved in the case and are attending for educational, journalistic or public legal educational purposes. Details of the pilot scheme can be found on The Transparency Project website here.
The Transparency Project are an educational charity whose aim is to make family justice clearer, and the TP team are encouraging lawyers to consider attending hearings and blogging under the pilot. The usual reporting restrictions will apply under the pilot unless in the particular case the court gives permission for more detail to be published. The Transparency Project hope to be coordinating legal blogging under the pilot, but lawyers can attend in their own right and need not be associated with the Transparency Project if they are in practice.
