Journalists and legal bloggers attending family courts – A Workshop for lawyers
29 January2019 5.30pm, Gresham College, London
Who are we?
We hope that you have heard of The Transparency Project, but if not : we are a registered charity and we help make family justice clearer to the public. We explain the law and process, and promote informed public debate about family law and family courts in England & Wales, particularly through legal blogging. A number of our team are solicitors members of the bar (some academic, some practising). You can find out more about the project on our website.
We are running an advocates’ training workshop on 29 January : Journalists and legal bloggers attending Family Courts. As well as exploring the new legal blogging pilot for those interested in participating directly in it, this workshop will assist advocates to confidently and competently respond to attendance at court by journalists or legal bloggers in their own cases. The event will be running at 5.30pm at Gresham College, London. Tickets are donation only but booking is essential (See our Eventbrite page for more details of the event, and for more info about the legal bloggers pilot see our dedicated page here). This event is made possible by kind support of Bloomsbury Professional Family Law.
